Midterm

I chose to do UVA football for my Midterm because every fall, tens of thousands of Virginia fans come together to see one of Charlottesville's most treasured traditions, and I expressed it by kind of using the images in this project to show how UVA football has evolved since 1931, the construction of Scott Stadium which in my mind is one of the biggest landmarks in Charlottesville. The project displays Scott Stadium from 4 different decades, and players from 3 different decades. The players displayed are UVA legends Chris Long and Anthony Pointdexter, and NFL Pro-Bowler Herman Moore. 

The best "Life" cover

I think this is definetly one of the best "Life" covers because it really shows how devestating WW2 was, and it puts everything into perspective. The giant explosion and all the flying debris draws your attention in, and then when you see the explosion compared to the soldiers at the bottom you understand how scary it must've been.

When I finished my first Avatar making me an angel, I just couldn't stop there. I decided to do the EXACT opposite of my previous one. It took not too long at all to complete, I got to make a MEAN face for the camera, and it was an overall nice and simple project. Good job Mrs. B, I liked the project.

Avatar Project

For my Avatar project, I decided to do a picture of my Alter Ego. I have myself, in the clouds, with a nice fluffy beard and some wings. Not to  mention my beautiful halo circling majestically around my head. This represents that I am an angel. For this project I used Photobooth, Quick Selection and Wand tool, and even the paint bucket tool and things like that for minor things here and there.

Advertisement Project.

For this advertisement project I decided to advertise the iPad, an Apple Product. I got the picture of an iPad, smacked it on to a cool background, and type my advertisement genious. I also used paintbrush tool here and there, and quick selection and Magic wand tool.

Chair Project

For this project, we had to design a chair and give it a shadow. I decided to make mine fancy and dedicate it to Leonardo Da vinci. The back part of the chair pictures the mona lisa, and the part you sit on says "The Davinci Chair" (Cleverly named, I know). The shadow took FOREVER. It's very complicated, and I never want to do it again. The fewer shadows required, the better.

Marla Abstract Expressionist Painting

  
In class last week I watched a movie about a 4yr old girl who was making really good abstract art. So I decided to try out my abstract abilities in Photoshop and came out with this. It's all 1 layer, and it was made by using only the brush tool. I used different types of brushes to give off different thicknesses of brush strokes. It was a fun, short project.
